Milbank reception at 55 Hudson Yards. View across outdoor terrace to iconic New York skyline

Milbank New York

Milbank LLP, located on Wall Street since its founding 150 years ago, used its move to 55 Hudson Yards to embrace and demonstrate its shift as a global, diverse law firm.

The architecture of Milbank’s new office space embraces the unique features of the building. Intense attention was given to simplifying materials and organizing the space to promote the views and access to natural light.

The extensive use of materials such as mirrors and stainless steel reflects the city and river views and maximizes natural light. A bespoke solution for the glass office fronts and furnishings creates a seamless unified architectural statement. Lawyer work walls deftly hide perimeter columns and storage extending the eye to the perimeter windows.

The indoor-outdoor spaces, high ceilings, inter-floor connectivity, energizing artwork, and abundant natural light promote employee connection and well-being. The reception space features a site-specific art installation: Four Walls by Pae White.
