Paul Hastings DC

LSM’s design for Paul Hastings’ Washington office, located between Dupont Circle and the White House, features striking sculptural installations that transform the office into a dynamic, public-facing space. In the street-level lobby, visitors are greeted by a captivating kinetic sculpture by Cerith Wyn Evans, whose glowing columns pulse to an unseen rhythm, creating an art experience for visitors, pedestrians and drivers. This installation, along with a crystalline sculpture by Tara Donovan in the base building , enhances the sleek, modern architecture of the 12-story Rex building. Another commissioned piece by Conrad Shawcross greets guests on the 11th floor, where a mesmerizing 13-foot-tall sculpture appears suspended in mid-air. The space is further defined by elegant design details, such as scalloped detailing evoking the base building’s curtain wall, polished Lasa stone floors, and bespoke furnishings, blending art, architecture, and natural light to create a truly immersive environment.
