Covington London

Covington’s offices at 22 Bishopsgate buildings on the law firms’ 100-plus-year history of excellence while embracing new ways of working and providing future flexibility.

LSM worked with Covington to support a comprehensive building evaluation. 22 Bishopsgate—the first UK Core and Shell building to achieve WELL Building Standard™— was selected. Relocating to 22 Bishopsgate allowed Covington to consolidate their London workforce on contiguous floors with versatile collective gathering spaces choreographed around breathtaking panoramic views of the City of London.

LSM worked with base building to modify the perimeter detail increasing ceiling heights along the permitter by nearly 3 feet (0.9m). This amplifies views to the surrounding skyline and increases daylight penetration throughout the floorplate as part of holistic daylighting strategy. The project has received a BREAM rating of “Excellent”.

Integrating cutting-edge technologies and efficiencies that align with Covington’s business objectives and continues growth in the London market, the workspace design increased efficiency by 17% and increased the the number of gathering spaces by collective gathering space 43%. The fitout has helped reaffirm a sense of presence in London, a connection to London, and a sense of collegiality and pride among workers.
